Not sure this will be helpful
Mother Earth has an article in which is described a 4X10 sheet of plywood is coated with fiberglass and used in a building structure the resulting strength of the structure was to me phenomenal seems but weight increase may be factor

I read of one guy whos 8' x 4' x 4' plywood aquarium had been up and running for 10 years without a problem. He was breeding Discus in it. The plywood aquarium I'm building is a 350 gallon and I am now sealing it with 2 part potable water safe epoxy. If your strucures solid and you don't develop any leaks you may still have to reseal it every once in a while. I expectmy tankto last 6-7 years before I have to drain and reseal it. Could be longer.
