<DIV id=post_message_73057>hi im pretty new to fish keeping... well i used to have a couple of goldfish when i was younger...

anyways...i have had my tank set up for about a month now... im pretty sure it has gone through the cycle process cause all the levels are pretty normal after getting pretty high

the problem i had was the water in my tank had a pinkish tint to it.... was wondering what it was?
weather it is harmful?
what can be done about it?

i do regular water changes bout 20%

i also have to fish in a quaratine tank with what seems to be ick... and i am treating them for that....so i dont know if it had anything to do with that

i ended up stripping the tank and washing everything... and added a little bit of aquarium salt to the tank... that water is now really clear and all the levels are still normal... as i keeped the filters going so i wouldnt lose any of the bacteria in them

so can anyone help me to figure out why the water had a pinkish tint to it?

any help would be appreciated just incase it comes back

thankyou</DIV>

it was swimming around normally and then a hour later i found it on the bottom of the tank dead...

im guessing it was a combernation of ick and stress
