Hey Nitin,

welcome to the forums, the idea sounds great. I don't think there would be any pressure issues, in fact you probably would have great pressure.

Storage drawers such as this are easily availabe and allow you to have one slide out for mechanical filtration and another for bio-filtration along with a third for chemical or buffer storage.

All you have to do is punch holes in the bottoms of the drawers and have it drain out into a rubbermaid container that holds your pump and any other aquarium equipment you don't want visable in the tank. It makes a very economical wet/ dry sump system.

thnx 4 ur replys.

i dont have space for that container, and the price is out of my buget. i got a powerhead and two bulk heads for the inlet and outlet.

i was thinking of glueing the pump on to the lid (powehead 1000)

order of my filter top to bottom

pump-outlet-lid
filter wool
carbon
bio ball the small stone type ones
sponge
ceramics
inlet

my main concern is the lid poping off and will the lock &lock seals hold in the long term?
any other things i can add to make the canistor filter better?

thanx

Good luck. I don't know much about constructing stuff like that, so hopefully someone else can help you.
