new cichlids tank

thinking of setting up a 25gal cichlid tank but don't know what to put in would like 2/3 different species looking for some ideas.

Cichlids, nice I see you are getting ready for another challenge. Cichlids are not hard to keep, but they are aggressive, especially African Cichlids. South Americans can be least aggressive, and some species like Oscars ( which need a tank of 75 gallons minimum ) can be petted. For a 25 gallon, I think you should try an African rift tank. Add some sand and some rocks and maybe some Mbuna cichlids. Don't add many other fish. You can add...plecos,for the cleanup crew.

thanx alex going to look into that tomorrow,already got my rocks going to put them in at weekend and hopfully start stocking week after, fingers crossed i will keep you up to date with whats happening thanx again.

ok got my first cichlids today( earlier than expected ) they are 4 acei malawians 2 blue, 2 yellow really beautiful fish i'm really pleased with them will be posting photos as soon as they settle in (hopefully not to long) the colours are great.

yes they are tried to get a couple of pics today but they are still a bit shy at the moment but hopefully get some soon.
