Ahhh Decker. I am going to sound like a broken record. The Mbuna you have pictured is most likely Metriaclima lombaroi also known as the "Kenyi".

Did it start off as blue with very dark blue stripes and then change to a goldish yellow or did you get it already in his male colors? This particular species is barely a notch down from the aruatus when it comes to aggression. Keep a good eye out on him.

I too started out with these species 6 years ago and am now much wiser as to their dispositions. It seams fish shops carry these things all over the world to suck us in. But that's OK I love them just the same.

i got him in the colour he is now and was sold to me as a acei they had over 20 in the same tank, he seems to have been ok since i got him some 5/6 weeks ago gets along well with others, but i will keep my eye on him as you say iceblue and thanx again for helping me out i appreciate it.
