I think from what I've learned so far this is what I should do:

-go freshwater
-get a 30 to 40 galon tank
-get a filter
-put it close to a sink/water hose
-put it on a sturdy table [actually get a stand]
-cycle
-get fish food
-get fish cichlids seem to be a good option

I've heard that I would have to get chemicals, is this true? or will it depend on something like overstocking or understocking or other? or is it only applyable to SW?

I'm inclined to buy new though it is true that I could get cheapr prices at local garage sales and craiglist.

Any recomendations on online stores if i decide to buy new? I've visited: drsfosters&smith.com, fishpetlove.com, marinedepot.com, biglsonline.com...

Are brands important? I've seen several brands for several products and it would be easier to know what brands are better than others. I aslo would like to buy everything from only one place.

Can somebody confirmif cichlids are the best option for a beginner like me?

By the wat this is like I want my future aquarium to look like:

Aquariums and Aquarium Supplies , FishPetLove.com => see the tubular tank?

Fancy huh?

Thanks again!
