Default Hi from Kamloops B.C.

Just getting into salt and being a lover of overkill i have a plan that may or may not work. I need to have a reliable, efficient and quiet system so to that end I thought that low flow and lots of water would be the way to go. I have done a bunch of research and have come up with this...

I'm wondering if the noise will be excessive with this type of inlet and siphon break, and if having a really low flow ( but lots of gal/hr ) will allow for the extreme filtration I'm aiming for?

Tank is a 75 gal, 48 inch long. Planning for LR, DSB, very large skimmer and veg filter/fuge. I would like to be able to drive the system with one air pump ( or small medical grade compressor ) and two power heads (one for the sump and one for current). i've been looking for low current, low to med light animals for the tank that will survive a few mistakes. I think I have a good plan for the type of critters though it's going to be a year or possibly more before it's ready for anything but mobile inverts (cuc). I want to build this into a nice reef with lots of color and at least one clown ( I love clowns ).

What do ya think???

Peace...
John
